Five questions that separate platforms fast
- 01 Can you see the product working on your data before a sales call?
- 02 Is pricing published, or discovered at the end of a procurement cycle?
- 03 Does every figure resolve to a source line and a factor, or to a black box?
- 04 When the method or factor set changes, is last year's number still reproducible?
- 05 Who does the classification work: your team, their consultants, or reviewed AI?
Answering those five usually narrows the shape before it narrows the vendor. If the outcome you owe is a measured company footprint, the relevant category is carbon footprint software; if it is a disclosure someone else reviews, it is carbon reporting software; and if you need the number maintained and reduced year over year, carbon emissions management software. Most tools claim all three and are genuinely good at one.
