Measurement
Carbon footprint software that starts from data you already have
Questionnaire-first tools ask operations teams to type in estimates. The result is slow, partial and impossible to audit. Ledger-first carbon accounting software ingests the accounts-payable export, classifies every line to a scope and Scope 3 category with an emission factor and a confidence level, and computes the footprint from the classified lines. Nothing is typed twice, and every figure keeps its source.
Tracking a footprint, not just measuring it once
A footprint is only useful as a time series: against a baseline year, through method changes, across acquisitions. That is carbon tracking software territory, and it is where spreadsheets die: the analyst leaves, the factor set updates, and last year's number can no longer be reproduced. The planned platform versions factors and methods and keeps restatements explicit, so the trend line means something. The measurement method itself is explained in plain terms in our Scope 1 and 2 guide.
