Carbon emission management software, from measurement to proof
The three jobs of emissions management
- 01 Measure continuously. New invoices and meter readings post to the same classified ledger, so the inventory is a running total, not an annual project. The classification pass is what our demo runs live.
- 02 Reduce attributably. Reduction targets need a baseline year and attribution: which supplier switch, modal shift or efficiency project moved which line. Tonnes without lineage cannot be claimed.
- 03 Prove on demand. A customer questionnaire, a CBAM declaration or an assurance review all ask the same question: where did this number come from? The answer must be a click, not an archaeology project.
Carbonaccounting.ai approaches all three as carbon accounting software: the ledger is the system of record, and management features (targets with baselines, supplier data requests, report packs) are planned tiers on top of it, described honestly as planned on our pricing page. For the reporting-only slice of the problem, see carbon reporting software; for the measurement slice on its own, carbon footprint software covers how the footprint is built from spend data in the first place. Practitioners more often call this work greenhouse gas accounting, and GHG accounting software covers the same discipline in GHG Protocol terms.
