CSRD reporting software, built around the number ESRS E1 audits

CSRD reporting software prepares the disclosures the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive requires, and the hardest of them is ESRS E1: gross Scope 1, 2 and material Scope 3 emissions with stated methodologies, a baseline, targets and an assurance-ready trail.

CSRD is phased by company class, and the omnibus adjustments have moved dates and thresholds, but the direction is fixed: sustainability disclosure inside the management report, digitally tagged, with limited assurance moving toward reasonable assurance. Under assurance, an E1 figure behaves like a financial figure: the auditor samples it back to source. A questionnaire tool cannot answer that sampling; a ledger can, which is the design argument for carbon accounting software underneath any CSRD tooling.

What ESRS E1 asks of your emissions data

  • Gross Scope 1 and 2 (location- and market-based), and Scope 3 for material categories, in tCO2e.
  • Methodologies and emission factors disclosed, including the share estimated from spend.
  • A baseline year, reduction targets, and restated figures when methods change.
  • Consistency with the financial statements: same entity boundary, same period, same rigour.

Our planned Compliance tier produces the E1 data pack from the classified ledger; the demo below is the live classification pass that ledger is built on. Adjacent regimes are covered on CBAM reporting and ESG reporting software.
