Data operations
ESG data collection software that starts where the data already is
For climate data, 80% of a first inventory is already in two exports: the utility and fuel accounts, and the accounts-payable ledger. A collection process that begins with forms asks busy site managers to retype what finance already has, at lower quality. The ledger-first approach classifies the AP export automatically (the pass our demo runs live), finds the material gaps, and only then sends targeted requests: this meter, this supplier, this lane.
Collection, prioritized by tonnes
- 01 Ingest AP/ERP spend and classify it (see the Scope 3 categories): a complete, coarse first map.
- 02 Pull metered data for Scope 1 and 2: utility bills, fuel cards. Small effort, big accuracy gain.
- 03 Send supplier requests only where the screening shows tonnes: top vendors by estimated emissions, not alphabetically.
- 04 Keep every response linked to the lines it improves, so collection visibly tightens the inventory.
Supplier data requests are a planned Compliance-tier capability of our carbon accounting software; the classification that prioritizes them works today in the demo below. The reporting layer this feeds is described on ESG reporting software.
