VelocityEHS pricing and cost in public contract records, from chemical management to GHG software
The short answer: VelocityEHS publishes no price, and its pricing address forwards to the homepage. Public contract records give real numbers instead. US federal agencies pay VelocityEHS between about $3,500 and $20,000 a year for its chemical management and safety data sheet subscriptions, with most single-agency accounts between $6,000 and $12,000. The one public award for its wider health and safety platform, at the UK Health Security Agency, was £107,564 over three years. No public record prices the GHG and energy module, which is sold by quote.
This guide is for a US EHS manager, controller or sustainability lead who has a VelocityEHS proposal or renewal in hand and wants to know whether the number is normal. Every figure below is an amount recorded on USAspending.gov, the federal award database, or on the UK government's Contracts Finder, read in October 2026. They are public-sector purchases, and a private quote will be scoped differently, but they show what the product lines cost in practice and how the price moves at renewal.

Two things stand out. Almost every federal record is for one product line, the safety data sheet and chemical management service that VelocityEHS inherited from MSDSonline. It is the company's entry product and it is priced like one. The platform is a different purchase. The single public platform award here cost several times what a typical agency pays for chemical management, and it covered inspections, risks and issue tracking, not carbon.
How much does VelocityEHS cost?
VelocityEHS costs about $6,000 to $12,000 a year for a single-organization chemical management subscription in US federal records, rising toward $20,000 for a headquarters account that covers 25 locations. A broader health and safety platform deployment cost one UK agency about £35,900 a year. VelocityEHS quotes every customer, and prices depend on the modules, the number of locations and the number of users.
VelocityEHS sells its Accelerate platform as a set of capabilities: safety, chemical management, ergonomics, operational risk, control of work, and ESG. Each is quoted on its own scope. That is why a review site can say VelocityEHS starts at a few thousand dollars and another can say it starts in the tens of thousands without either being exactly wrong. They are describing different products under one brand. Published estimates on software directories are not traceable to VelocityEHS, so none is repeated here.
VelocityEHS cost at renewal
Renewals move in one of two ways in these records. Where option years were priced up front, the increase is steady: the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers award rose exactly 5% in each of its two option years. Where the price was fixed for the whole award, the correction comes when the award ends. The Defense Health Agency paid $7,099 a year for five straight years, and the replacement award in 2025 came in at $7,899, an 11% step. The Forest Service account that cost $9,299 in late 2021 cost $12,000 four years later.
The practical point is to ask for the option-year prices in the first order form. A five-year price schedule with a stated uplift is something the vendor has agreed to with public buyers repeatedly. A one-year order with a silent renewal leaves the next price to whoever sends the invoice. The same public records that let you search federal contract opportunities also show what each agency agreed to pay, which is a fair benchmark to bring to a negotiation.
VelocityEHS pricing for GHG and energy management
No public record prices VelocityEHS's carbon product. The GHG and Energy Management capability sits under ESG on the Accelerate platform and is sold by quote. VelocityEHS describes it as utility data sync for electricity and gas bills, a calculation engine with custom validation rules, an emission factor library that updates automatically, lockable records for audit, and coverage of Scope 1, 2 and 3.
What decides the cost of carbon on any EHS platform is how the data gets in. Utility bills and site fuel records suit the platform well, because it already knows your locations. Scope 3 is different. For most US companies the largest part of it is purchased goods and services, and that data lives in accounts payable as supplier invoices. Mapping thousands of AP lines to categories and factors inside an EHS platform is configuration work, usually billed as services on top of the subscription. If VelocityEHS already runs your chemical inventory and safety program, ask for the GHG module as a separate line and compare it with a dedicated tool. The feature comparison with another EHS suite is in Cority vs VelocityEHS for GHG reporting software.

Is VelocityEHS worth the cost for carbon reporting?
It can be, when VelocityEHS is already your system for chemicals, safety and compliance. The locations, users and login exist, the utility data connection suits Scope 2, and one vendor relationship is simpler than two. A plant network with significant on-site fuel use and a team that already lives in the platform is the buyer it fits.
It is the expensive route when the job is one inventory for a customer, a CDP response or a California SB 253 report, and your EHS program runs somewhere else or on spreadsheets. In that case you are buying a platform to produce a number that mostly comes from finance data. Our carbon accounting software starts from the accounts payable export: each supplier line gets a scope, one of the 15 Scope 3 categories, a reason and a confidence score, only uncertain lines go to a reviewer, and every tonne stays linked to its invoice line for the assurance provider. Plans are published, from $390 a month or $2,340 a year, and it runs next to whatever EHS system you keep.
Questions to ask before you sign a VelocityEHS quote
- Which capabilities are on the order form? Chemical management, safety and ESG are priced separately. Ask for each as its own line.
- How is the price scaled? Federal records show per-account and per-location pricing. Confirm whether adding a site changes the fee.
- What are years two through five? Ask for a price schedule with the uplift stated. Public buyers got 0% and 5%.
- What does GHG setup cost? Ask for the services estimate to load utility accounts and supplier spend, and the date of the first complete inventory.
- Can records be exported with their evidence? An assurance provider samples line items. Ask what the export contains and whether it survives the end of the subscription.

Frequently asked questions
How much does VelocityEHS cost?
VelocityEHS quotes every customer. In US federal award records, chemical management and safety data sheet subscriptions cost most agencies about $6,000 to $12,000 a year, and a 25-location account cost $19,999. A UK agency paid £107,564 over three years for the health and safety platform.
Does VelocityEHS publish pricing?
No. The VelocityEHS website has no price list, and its pricing address forwards to the homepage. Buyers request a demo and receive a quote based on capabilities, locations and users. Public contract records are the only verifiable source of what customers pay.
How much does MSDSonline cost?
MSDSonline, the VelocityEHS safety data sheet service, cost US federal agencies from about $3,500 a year for a small regional account to $12,000 for a larger agency account in 2025. A headquarters account covering 25 locations was $19,999 for one year.
Does VelocityEHS raise prices at renewal?
Public records show both patterns. One agency's option years rose 5% each year. Another paid a flat $7,099 for five years, then 11% more on the replacement award. Ask for a multi-year price schedule with the uplift written in.
How much does VelocityEHS GHG software cost?
VelocityEHS does not publish a price for GHG and Energy Management, and no public award names it. It is quoted as part of the ESG capability on the Accelerate platform. Ask for the module price and the setup services separately.
What is a cheaper alternative to VelocityEHS for carbon accounting?
If you need a Scope 1, 2 and 3 inventory and not an EHS platform, a ledger-based tool costs less. CarbonAccounting.ai publishes Ledger at $2,340, Compliance at $7,740 and Assurance at $23,400 a year, and works from the accounts payable export you already have.
